Accepting Vehicle Bids

The Sagadahoc County Facilities Department is accepting bids for one new or like new maintenance vehicle.  The vehicle must be a 4x4 pickup truck; a ¾ ton regular cab; 8’ body; V8 gas engine: 8 ½’ V plow and heated mirrors. Please contact Facility Manager Aaron Hanscom with questions regarding options.  At the time of delivery there is a hitch mounted sander that will need to be switched onto the new truck. 

There is a current maintenance truck that will be traded in.  It is a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500.  It has 120,000 miles on it.  It has a 7 ½’ Fisher plow that is nearly new.  The truck has had recent brake work as well as starter and battery.   The truck goes fine but could use a little work.  There is also a 2006 Ford Expedition XLT that will be traded.  It has just over 65,000 miles, 5.4 liter V8 and many options.  It may need some work to get a sticker but is low mileage and has a lot of life left.  Both vehicles can be seen by appointment at the Courthouse at 752 High St in Bath Maine.  For questions, more information contact Facility Manager Aaron Hanscom.

All bids must include all applicable fees.  A firm delivery date should be specified in the bid.  Preference with be given to the bidders who reflect optimum trade in value for the current Sagadahoc County Maintenance vehicle and the Ford Expedition.  

Sealed bids will be accepted at the Sagadahoc County Courthouse until 10:00 am on Friday 09-25-2020. at which time bids will be opened and reviewed.  Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Maintenance vehicle bid” and addressed to Aaron Hanscom, Facility Manager, Sagadahoc County Courthouse, 752 High St Bath, ME 04530.

The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to negotiate with any bidder.
