The purpose of the Office of Domestic Violence Prevention is to investigate cases of domestic violence and advocate for the victims of domestic violence and to promote public awareness of the issues surrounding domestic violence.

Marc Brunelle
graduated from Brunswick High School and the proceeded to study at DePaul University in Illinois graduating in 1993 with a Bachelors in Political Science.  He also studied at Northeastern University in Boston to get his Master's in Science in Criminal Justice.  Hired By the Bath, Maine Police Department in 1996, he served as a patrol officer for ten year and was then promoted to Corporal in 2006. Becoming Detective in 2012 allowed Investigator Brunelle to help his community by investigating serious crimes including sexual assaults' and child abuse. He was hired to be the Domestic Violence Investigator in 2021.
